Student Work

This is similar to a malay essay which has been circulated around not so long ago.

I've heard there is a chinese version as well.

Ho Ho Fucking Ho

You can buy my silence, but you'll never have my respect or my trust.

Some people are just not worth the time and energy to waste talking about.

But you do it anyway just because...

Knowing full well that by doing so, you're no better than them.

You people. You just lurve lying don't you?

#1 - People who pretend to be your friend. (Not okay)

#2 - People who force you to be their friend. (Not okay)

#3 - People who make it known that they do NOT want to be your friend. (This is okay)

Why?

Because -

#1 - Treats you like an idiot.

#2 - Is an idiot.

#3 - Doesn't treat you like an idiot.

I don't care if no one understands this post.

Ah Christmas.

Time for forgiveness and all that other crap.

But I AM looking forward to seeing old friends.

And then there are other old 'friends' which shouldn't even deserve mention.

Bah Hum Bug.

Bye Bye Birdie

I've been searching high and low for the soundtrack to that movie/musical 'Bye Bye Birdie' which is a parody of the whole rockstar (e.g. Elvis) craze.

It has been concluded that I have rather varied range in terms of my musical taste.

Ah yes. Limp Bizkit and Korn yesterday, Ah Lian techno today and Frank Sinatra tomorrow.

Well. Actually today.

On a retro kick.

Got meself a rather nice collection of Sinatra hits, some Beatles and a dash of Bon Jovi (the old stuff).

Yesterday I was on a Disney kick.

Back to the topic, I WANT THAT SOUNDTRACK!

Listening to the original version of 'One Last Kiss' by Bobby Vee which is parodied in 'Bye Bye Birdie'.

Coolest blog I've read today.

Excerpt from "More Tid Bits"

I told my mother that her life was a complete waste and that I wished she were dead. The next week she had a heart attack. Despite the love I had for her, I never felt guilty for a second.

I have a twisted sense of humor.

Undeserving

How can you tell who is a friend and who isn't?

How can you tell who is genuine among the liars that surround you?

What do you do when you still cling to that minute hope that people might not be as bad as they seem, though they prove you wrong over and over?

Who can you trust?

The people that I trust, among my friends, aren't among those that I see every day.

The people that I trust, aren't among those who lie and deceive and cheat, for whatever purpose.

Sometimes, it is clear to see what they gain, and in others it is not so clear.

I hate being lied to, because being lied to means that the liar believes you stupid enough to swallow the lies that they feed.

Being deceived, the deceiver believes you naive enough to trust in them whole heartedly.

They believe you are stupid enough.

Then apparently I am stupid.

Stupid enough to want to believe the best in people, even when they've proven my hope worthless time and time again.

I believe these people are undeserving of my friendship.

Older but stupider

It pisses me off how some people will take advantage of their own friends to benefit themselves.

For a rather presumptious individual who has a shaky view of what is right and wrong, it may not be much of a burden on their own conscience (or rather lack of) to screw their own friends for their own gain. All the while maintaining that all is fair and beneficial for everyone when in actuality, they are the only ones to profit from their lies.

Because they lead such busy and important lives, I suppose they feel they have a right to treat everyone around them as idiots.

It is presumed that one day, we will all become mature and sophisticated enough to stop saying and doing mind-boggling ridiculous things. That is when we reach the age when we actually learned something from our repertoire of stupid behaviour.

Just as people forgive kids for stupidity because they're just kids and don't know any better, they forgive the elderly because they're just old and once knew better but have since forgotten.

And then there are those who fall between the cracks and never learn any better and blessed with a bad memory, forget all the folly of the recent past.

And so, we shall forgive these people because they are just who they are.

Because they are to be pitied for living in a dream world which revolves around them.

I'm looking forward to the day when life bites them in the ass.

Et Tu?

It has come to my attention that I may soon be in the market for new and improved friends. I write this because it appears my habit of enlisting friends of questionable character and background is being met with fierce resistance with my inner ajuma (read : aunty, ah soh).

"She/He is dodgy and untrustworthy."

"Maybe he/she is just misunderstood."

"No, she/he is just dodgy and untrustworthy."

"Well, maybe he/she is just a nice person with at-times questionable character."

"No. Dodgy. Untrustworthy."

When I confront them with any evidence of their less than desirable qualities, I am met with uncomfortable shuffling, vague murmurs and 3 drops of sweat.

Its all fun and games with these 'friends' until one of them comes up to you and bites you in the ass.

I smell smoke

This is for my rare moments of thought.

The fleeting epiphanies.

The joy of eating.

Oh beautiful food.

Strangeness of life.

Pockets of laughter.

The usual generic happenings that makes up my life.
